EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Coercion’
European leaders including the French president charged the US administration of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans targeted figures that were at the heart of efforts to introduce laws regulating US-based technology firms.
“For far too long, European activists have led coordinated campaigns to pressure American platforms to suppress US perspectives they oppose,” stated a senior US official online. “The current administration will not stand for these egregious acts of censorship beyond its borders.”
